All assignment details and expectations (along with any changes) will be within this ENGL 1001 course website on our Homework Page.

• Reading assignments are to be prepared for the days they are listed.

• You are expected to be familiar enough with the readings so that you can write about and discuss their general ideas when you are in class sessions (in person or online).

  • To do this, you’ll want to explore notetaking/annotation systems that work best for you.

  • We will discuss readings as much as possible in our class meetings on Zoom and in person (you’re not totally on your own). However, if you’re not used to being expected to read and understand material on your own, it will take practice. And time! And that’s okay!

• Rhetor Reflections should be emailed to me before the start of class on the day they are due (mostly on Tuesdays).

• Major Assignments should be emailed to me before the due date/time listed in the assignment.

• The semester calendar and the abbreviated snapshot below are meant to give you an idea of how our semester will unfold; however, changes are inevitable and will always be announced.
